It's been 70 years since Drake joined Chelsea as a manager in 1952, and his influence is still strongly felt at Stamford Bridge. The theme of honoring Drake continues in our Chelsea 2023 kit design, which recognizes some of the innovative changes he has made in Chelsea's modernization, marking one of the most important turning points in the club's history.
In contrast to the Chelsea 2022 kit, the Nike Chelsea kit 22/23 is all blue with a white/turquoise Henry neckline. A turquoise lion pattern can be seen on the white neck. The Chelsea jersey 2022and the rest of the collection feature the same design. As far as the template goes, there are no surprises for the Chelsea 22/23 kit - it's based on the new Nike 2022-23 template.
Drake changed Chelsea's nickname from "Veteran" to "Blues", a name he felt more suited to the dynamic team he had built. Since then, the "Blues" name has been retained and will also appear in the details of the Chelsea 22/23 kitcollar buttons.
This badge of Chelsea jersey 2022 symbolizes Chelsea's determination and fearlessness, with the lion badge in the form of a turquoise pattern on the neckline. This detail is reminiscent of the 1950s style while being contemporary, and today it feels as fresh as Drake's vision for the future.
